MAZU × VINTAGE
VINTAGE Restaurant
Where gastronomy, hospitality and design come together.
Some collaborations start with a project. Others begin with a shared appreciation.
MAZU founder Christophe has long been a guest and admirer of VINTAGE in Kontich. Beyond its refined gastronomic experience, the restaurant stood out through the expertise of sommelier Steven and, equally, the warm hospitality of host Eva — creating the kind of atmosphere that makes guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.
That personal connection eventually led the MAZU team to approach VINTAGE with a simple question: could MAZU contribute something to the restaurant experience?
Eva immediately connected with the MAZU concept, resulting in a carefully curated selection of pieces throughout the restaurant. Rather than using one collection throughout the project, different MAZU designs were selected for different architectural settings.
At the entrance, a sculptural MAZU Oyster in Bronze creates a distinctive first impression and introduces the MAZU aesthetic before guests enter the restaurant.
Inside, a MAZU Wedge in White was selected to complement the refined restaurant interior. Its clean architectural lines provide a deliberate contrast to the organic character of the Oyster.
Outside, a MAZU Tank extends the collection into the exterior environment, creating a visual connection between the restaurant’s indoor and outdoor spaces.
The collaboration continues to evolve. Following the introduction of MAZU’s Signature Seating Collection in early 2026, VINTAGE will expand its selection later this year with pieces from the new collection — bringing planters and seating together within one hospitality environment.
For MAZU, VINTAGE represents more than the placement of individual objects. It demonstrates how different MAZU collections can work together across the complete guest journey — from arrival and dining to the outdoor experience — while becoming part of the identity and atmosphere of a distinctive restaurant.
