Located in the residential surroundings of Edegem, this private villa brings together interior architecture, lighting and landscape in one considered composition.

The transformation started inside the residence, with an interior designed by Denis T’Jampens and a carefully considered lighting concept by Koen Van Guijze. Once the interior renovation was completed, the focus shifted towards the garden and the connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

The owner discovered MAZU through our showroom in Knokke and approached us to introduce a number of distinctive objects into the landscape. Rather than filling the garden with planters, the intention was to create a few carefully positioned architectural eyecatchers.

On the upper terrace adjoining the master bedroom, a sculptural MAZU Oyster in Black Brown creates a strong yet refined focal point. Its organic shape contrasts with the clean architectural lines of the residence and brings greenery closer to the private living spaces.

At the far end of the garden, two MAZU Tank Medium planters were positioned to create a second visual destination. Their placement was deliberately considered from inside the house: viewed through the residence towards the garden, the planters draw the eye into the landscape and enhance the perception of depth.

After dark, this effect becomes even more pronounced. The illuminated MAZU planters create points of light deeper into the garden, visually extending the living environment beyond the architecture of the house.

The result is a residential project where the planters are not simply decorative additions. Through their positioning, sculptural presence and integrated lighting, they become part of the relationship between interior, architecture and landscape.
