Set in the mountains of South Tyrol, AMONTI Chalets is a five-star luxury chalet resort where contemporary architecture, nature and refined hospitality come together. With 23 exclusive chalets, private wellness experiences and panoramic mountain views, the resort provided a natural setting for MAZU's sculptural planters.

The story between AMONTI and MAZU began during the development of the resort, when head designer Barbara Held discovered MAZU at Maison&Objet in Paris. A shared appreciation for distinctive design and carefully considered details quickly developed into a collaboration.

For the first installation, seven MAZU Oyster planters in Bronze were selected. Their organic, sculptural form and warm finish complement the natural materials and contemporary Alpine architecture of the resort. Positioned around the private pool area, the Oyster planters add greenery while becoming architectural objects in their own right.

Following the installation, the response from Barbara and the wider AMONTI team led to an extension of the project. Five additional Oyster Bronze planters were added, bringing the total installation to twelve pieces.

The second installation brings MAZU beyond the private chalet environment and into the resort's hospitality experience. The additional Oyster planters form part of the high-end restaurant setting, where guests enjoy refined dining against the dramatic backdrop of the South Tyrolean mountains.

For MAZU, AMONTI Chalets demonstrates how a planter can become part of an architectural concept rather than simply an addition to it. From private poolside spaces to luxury hospitality environments, the Oyster Collection creates a consistent connection between architecture, greenery and the surrounding Alpine landscape.
